The MHS Track & Field Team competed in the District Track & Field Championship on Saturday at Lindbergh High School. The individuals and relay teams listed below qualified to compete at the Sectional Championship this coming Saturday in Poplar Bluff, MO and the chance to make it to the State Championship. There were 3 events in which MHS earned district titles as well as establishing 2 new school records.
Boys Sectional Qualifiers
Mike Sulya: High Jump, Long Jump
Patrick Partee: Triple Jump, 300m hurdles
Trey Pratt: Mile
Chris James: Triple Jump
Jeff Jackson: 100m dash
4x200m relay team (Patrick Partee, Mike Sulya, Chayse Brown, Jeff Jackson)
Girls Sectional Qualifiers
Carly Klein: Triple Jump, 300m hurdles
Theresa Zehle: 400m dash
Terinia Greene: 300m hurdles
4x800m relay team (Jen Carter, Jessica Tautphaeus, Emily Ghormley, and Gwen Werner)
4x400m relay team (Jen Carter, Carly Klein, Theresa Zehnle, and Gwen Werner)

Partick Partee, 300m hurdles (broke the record set by Ivan Milicevic in 2008, who is currently running at Missouri Baptist University and has been a national qualifier in the 4x400 )
Maurisha Hook-Williams, Shot Put (broke her own record)
- The MHS Boys Team finished 3rd of 11 teams in the District (only 1 pt. from a 2nd place district trophy)
- The MHS Girls Team Finished 7th of 11 teams in the District (only 10 pts from 4th in a tight contest)
- It is the highest point total the girls have had for at least 6 or more years. (2007-6pts, 2008-11pts., 2009-18pts., 2010-26pts., 2011-29pts., 2012-58pts.)
